Woods-Ray Theatricals Inc presents Friends of Dorothy - A Queer Cabaret Friends of Dorothy is a cabaret celebrating the LGBTQIA+ members of the Woods-Ray Theatricals Inc community. Our cabaret performers will celebrate their queer stories through song. Featuring: Kate Carlisle Arrabella Clark Megan Cracknell Fancy Bella Grasso Sarah Gray (Host) Zara Hatton Dane Hockey Alicia Mason Sam Leighton Kirra Pincham Rachel Rienits Liam Woods Ticketing for this event is general admission, and the seating will be cabaret-style table seating (similar to our recent production of Ride The Cyclone). BYO Alcohol and snacks are permitted, however we do ask that patrons remain orderly and do not bring hot or large amounts of food into the venue. Our canteen will be open for the purchase of soft drinks, water, hot drinks and snacks. A portion of profits from this event will be donated to Minus18! Minus18 are Australia’s champions for LGBTQIA+ youth. We're improving the lives of LGBTQIA+ youth, and creating an Australia where all young people are safe, empowered, and surrounded by people that support them. Awareness & Visibility We build awareness of the 2 in 3 LGBTQIA+ youth who still experience abuse for who they are. Our digital campaigns and partnerships start crucial conversations to amplify the voice of the next generation. LGBTQIA+ Education Creating an Australia free from discrimination is a job for everyone. We transform awareness into action through LGBTQIA+ training, workshops and resources that enable others to champion inclusivity – no matter their location. Life-Affirming Programs Our preventive model of mental health support tackles social isolation by creating spaces where LGBTQIA+ youth belong. Young people are at the forefront of our programs – and we're empowering them to be the next generation of LGBTQIA+ leaders.
